Giving is an act of Love
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” -Luke 6:38
God loves you so much He has provided everything you will ever need to stay in His shadow of protection, in a system called “The Kingdom of God”. The world’s system says, “Get and save all you can.” God’s system says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you.” Giving is an act of love, and if God is the one you love. Response to God’s love, and allow Him to show Himself strong in your life…..
When you give, you are responding to God’s heart, namely, seeing to it that other people receive the gospel. Giving is an act of love that opens the entire realm of God’s blessings. Look at these examples of God’s outpouring:
In 2 Kings 4, a Shunammite woman provided bread for Elisha and built a prophet’s chamber for this man of God. She was barren, but the power of God was released and she had a son. Her giving resulted in a return beyond financial blessings.
In 1 Kings 3, Solomon gave an offering unto God, sacrificing for the temple, God made Solomon the wisest and richest man on earth.
In 1 Kings chapter 6 Solomon fulfills the promise that God gave to his father David.
In Luke 5, Peter allowed Jesus to use his boat to preach the gospel, and the result was that Peter got to be on Jesus’ staff; he was called to be an apostle. Peter got fully into his calling because of his giving, his act of love.
In Matthew 8, a centurion, a man without a covenant, built a synagogue for the Jews because he loved their God so much. The centurion’s servant was sick, and Jesus healed him.
“…. the act of giving opened up a full realm of blessings because giving is an act of love.”
“Giving doesn’t change God’s Goodness. God has already Blessed you, Giving is you acting on what you Believe”
